Broad Contemporary Art Museum
Everyone is talking about LACMA's new crown
jewel, the Broad Contemporary Art Museum (BCAM).
Opened in Feb. 2008, BCAM boasts architecture
by Pritzker Prize-winning architect Renzo
Piano, six galleries and 60,000 square feet
of exhibition space. On display are masterpieces
by Andy Warhol, Jeff Koons, Roy Lichtenstein,
Damien Hirst, Barbara Kruger and others. Take

The Griffith Observatory
A nonprofit educational institution that provides
information on astronomy and related sciences
to the public. An ambitious $93-million renovation
project to renew the Observatory's world-class
standing and restore and enhance the Observatory's
ability to pursue its public astronomy mission
was recently completed. |
